Telehealth for Mental Health

Telehealth is a safe and convenient option for accessing mental health care from the comfort of your home. With telehealth, you can get the care you need without needing to take time off work, take time away from your home duties, or without needing to use transportation.

Services Available via Telehealth

You can access the following mental health services remotely with Axis Integrated Mental Health.

However, not all mental health services offered by Axis Integrated Mental Health can be accessed via telehealth. Some treatments, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), ketamine infusions, and Spravato nasal spray, need medical supervision and technology and must be administered in-office.

What to Expect During a Telehealth Appointment

Most telehealth appointments are conducted via video calls. You can take the call on your smartphone, computer, or tablet. Some appointments can also be conducted via a traditional phone call.

One of the best ways to prepare for your appointment is to ensure you are somewhere where you have a strong internet connection. Try to find a quiet place so that you can focus on the appointment.

Just like with a routine medical appointment, prepare any questions you may have, and be sure to gather any information that the healthcare professional you are meeting with may need. For example, if you are meeting for an initial consultation, be sure to have access to your mental and physical health records to share.

Privacy and Telehealth Appointments

When it comes to working with a healthcare provider, it is essential to feel safe sharing your private information with them. Even though your telehealth appointment doesn’t take place in person, we make every effort to ensure they are just as private as an in-person visit.

We will call you from a quiet and private location and use a secure patient portal to communicate with you. A patient portal is more secure than a typical website or application.

Your appointment is not recorded. All your information is just as private and safe as it would be if you were in our office getting care.

Cost of Telehealth Services

How much telehealth services will cost depends upon your insurance carrier and healthcare provider. Many health insurance providers cover telehealth the same way they cover an in-person appointment.

Talk to your insurance provider to fully understand your costs before you visit. Alternatively, reach out to our team so we can help coordinate with your insurance provider.

If you don’t have insurance, please contact our team to work out a payment plan that gets you access to the mental health care you need.
