Question 1: Tell us about your background and what got you started in mental health?

I grew up in the Panhandle of Nebraska and went to school starting in Family Practice with a desire to serve Rural populations. I started focusing on mental health while practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and enjoyed being part of the clients’ healthcare journey regarding their mental health. I then formally went back to school to specialize in psychiatric mental health and now have the privilege of being part of a client’s mental healthcare journey on a full-time basis. Being an online psychiatric provider in Colorado has been terrific because it gives me the ability to balance family life with a lot of professional satisfaction. It is truly a blessing to be able to be part of people’s mental health journey.

Question 2: How do you spend your free time?

Spending time with my family first and foremost. I also enjoy fly fishing, golfing, and watching my Nebraska Cornhuskers
