BrainsWay Deep TMS is a noninvasive, FDA-cleared treatment for major depressive disorder, available in Aurora, Louisville, Westminster, and the Denver Tech Center. Sessions take about 20 minutes and require no anesthesia or sedation.
How Deep TMS Works
Deep TMS uses magnetic pulses, the same type of energy an MRI uses, to stimulate the brain regions involved in mood regulation. The BrainsWay H-Coil reaches deeper brain structures than first-generation TMS coils. Patients stay awake in a treatment chair during each session, then drive themselves home and return to work or school the same day. A standard course runs five days a week for several weeks, and Axis also offers an accelerated protocol on a shorter schedule.

What a Session Feels Like
You sit awake in a treatment chair while a helmet holding the H-Coil delivers magnetic pulses. The device makes loud clicks, so you wear hearing protection. Side effects are usually mild, most often scalp discomfort or a headache in the first few sessions.
Safety Screening
Your provider reviews your medications, sleep, alcohol or substance use, and seizure history before and during treatment. Seizure is a rare risk. Tell the team about any metal or electronic implant in or near your head.
Coordinated Care
