At Axis Integrated Mental Health, we understand that not everyone can easily make it to one of our clinics in Denver, Greenwood Village, or Westminster. That is why we offer telehealth mental health care for patients across Colorado. With secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions, you can connect with psychiatrists and therapists from the comfort of your home. Our telehealth option makes high-quality care accessible, flexible, and convenient, while still delivering the same compassionate, results-driven approach you would receive in person.
Why Choose Telehealth at Axis?
Telehealth is more than just a virtual appointment. It is an extension of our integrated care model that delivers medication management and therapy into one seamless experience. Patients who use telehealth benefit from:
- Faster access to care: Skip long waitlists and get connected with a provider quickly.
- Convenience: Eliminate the stress of travel, parking, and time away from work or family.
- Continuity of care: Stay connected to your provider even if you relocate or travel within Colorado.
- Privacy: Attend appointments from a secure and comfortable environment of your choice.
Our providers are committed to making telehealth sessions just as engaging, supportive, and effective as in-person visits.
What Services Are Available Through Telehealth?
Most of our core services are available virtually, including:
- Integrative Psychiatry: Medication management, consultations, and ongoing support with one of our psychiatric providers.
- Therapy and Counseling: Individual therapy, family therapy, and evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
- Medication Management: Regular follow-ups, dosage adjustments, and side-effect monitoring made easy through video appointments.
- Deprescribing Support: Safe tapering and medication reduction planning under the guidance of a licensed provider.
- Student and LGBTQ+ Mental Health Services: Specialized, affirming care designed for students, young adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals seeking a supportive environment.
While some advanced treatments, like TMS or Spravato®, must be delivered in person at one of our clinics, telehealth allows us to provide evaluations, follow-ups, and coordination of care so you always have a connected treatment plan.
Who Can Benefit from Telehealth?
Telehealth is a great option for anyone looking for flexible and reliable mental health care in Colorado, especially:
- Patients living in rural or underserved areas without easy access to in-person clinics
- Students or professionals with busy schedules who cannot take time away from school or work
- Parents and caregivers who need support without arranging transportation or childcare
- Individuals managing depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, or OCD who prefer virtual sessions
- Current patients who want to maintain continuity of care while traveling or relocating within Colorado
No matter your circumstances, our telehealth services are designed to meet you where you are.
Insurance and Telehealth Coverage
Axis Integrated Mental Health accepts most commercial insurance plans. Telehealth appointments are covered by most insurance providers at the same rate as in-person visits. Our administrative team will help you navigate prior authorizations, copays, and insurance requirements so you can focus on your health instead of paperwork.
Book an Appointment
Axis Integrated Mental Health offers telehealth appointments to make high-quality psychiatric and therapy care more accessible for patients across Colorado, including those who may not live near one of our clinics. Telehealth visits are conducted by board-certified psychiatric or therapy providers and can be a convenient alternative to in-person care, while patients still have the option to visit our Denver, Westminster, Boulder, or Greenwood Village locations when preferred. To schedule care in 7 days or less, patients can book a provider appointment online, or call or text Axis Integrated Mental Health directly at 720.400.7025.
FAQs about Telehealth
- Do you prescribe ketamine therapy via telehealth for at-home use? No. Axis Integrated Mental Health does not recommend ketamine therapy for at-home use and can only prescribe Spravato treatments, which are medically supervised in one of our clinics in Denver, Westminster, Boulder, or Greenwood Village.
- Are telehealth appointments the same as a free consult? No, telehealth appointments are with board-certified psychiatric or therapy providers and are billed to your insurance company. Our financial consults are done with a team member trained in benefits and insurance policies, our processes and procedures, and can be booked online here.
- Can I book in-person if I don’t want to do telehealth? Yes, you always have the option to see your provider at the clinic where they are located. However, please be sure to call to ensure they will be in the clinic the day that you would like to see them.
- Can I change an in-person appointment to a telehealth appointment on the same day? Yes, you may change your in-person appointment to a telehealth appointment on the same day by texting us at 720.400.7025. However, please give us a few hours of advanced warning as we are busy working with other patients all day.
- Is telehealth as effective as in-person? This is a matter of preference but we believe strongly in increasing access to care. For many patients who do not live near one of our clinics, for instance, in rural Colorado, Telehealth may be one of the only ways that patients can get high-quality mental health care. We welcome all patients to choose the best option for them.
